Our Story
At Youth Empowering Youth (YEY), our core mission is to empower young individuals in realizing their full potential by providing essential tools and opportunities for growth. Established six years ago, YEY became the first student-led non-profit organization at a small school back in Mandalay.
Today, we have grown, and we are now one of the largest student led organizations in Upper Myanmar and Myanmar as a whole.

Our Mission
Youth Empowering Youth is committed to uplifting underprivileged youth by providing them with the support, mentorship, and opportunities they need to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. We are also committed to fostering personal development, education, and awareness, aiming to inspire and support youth in making a significant impact on their communities and the world. We work to create a nurturing environment where young people can develop their skills, build confidence, and pursue their dreams. Through community engagement, educational initiatives, and peer mentorship, we empower youth to rise above their circumstances and become leaders who inspire positive change in their communities. Our dedication to this mission drives everything we do, ensuring that every young person we reach has the chance to succeed and contribute meaningfully.

Vision

Youth Empowering Youth (YEY) is dedicated to creating a globally connected network of young individuals, with a special focus on at-risk teens from underprivileged backgrounds nearing adulthood. Our vision is to foster a robust, interconnected community of youth worldwide, empowering them to achieve their fullest potential and drive positive change on a global scale. YEY aims to break the cycle of poverty and nurture future leaders who can make a lasting impact in their communities and beyond.
Through leadership training, life skills workshops, mentorship, and large-scale collaborative projects, we equip young people with the tools to overcome adversity and embrace their role as changemakers. Our programs emphasize financial literacy, career readiness, emotional resilience, and global citizenship, preparing them not only for adulthood but also for meaningful contributions to a more inclusive and universally connected world. By addressing inequality and providing access to education, employment, and civic engagement opportunities, YEY connects youth to a wider network of support, bringing our vision of global collaboration and empowerment to life.
