Hey, friends! My name is Nobel, and I’m honored to be serving as President of Youth Empowering Youth as a whole this year. My journey with YEY began back in 8th grade during a summer workshop, and from that moment on, I was hooked. I remember one particularly touching moment when, on the last day of the workshops, a participant named Phillip gave me his phone number on a small slip of paper, saying he’d call one day when he could afford it, just to thank us for the lessons he’d learned. That was the first time I realized how meaningful this work is for our community, and it truly solidified my dedication to our mission. YEY means the world to me—the laughter in Mr. Clement’s room every Thursday, the late-night meetings, planning events, fundraisers, new initiatives, and going on countless volunteering trips together have created some of my favorite high school memories that I’ll never forget. In my two years of membership, I still remember every single face we’ve worked with, even those who joined us just for a while! Today, as President, I’m proud to say we’ve grown YEY from a team of 12 to a strong, 70-member organization in just two academic years. I’m committed to carrying our mission forward and expanding our movement globally this year!

President @ Youth Empowering Youth
I’m Kaung Mon Thar, and it has been an incredible honor to serve as the president of Youth Empowering Youth (YEY) at AIS. Over the past five years, I have witnessed firsthand how much our organization has grown—not just in size, but in impact. We’ve reached more communities, launched more initiatives, and empowered more young leaders than I ever could have imagined when I first took on this role. What makes me most proud, however, is how we've stayed true to our core values of collaboration, empathy, and service. We've fostered an environment where every member's voice is heard, and together, we've created lasting change in the lives of many. As we look ahead, I’m excited for all the possibilities the future holds for YEY. I hope you’ll join us on this journey as we build a brighter future together!
